You will learn and develop your skills through a mixture of lessons, demonstrations, assignments and practical tasks in the College workshops. You will be supported to find work experience, in order for you to gain some valuable experience in industry. Visits to local employers will also be planned. You will be assessed through exams and assignments (both written and practical). You can achieve a Pass (48 UCAS Points), Merit (96 UCAS Points), Distinction (144 UCAS Points) or Distinction* grade (168 UCAS Points). This programme encourages you to undertake your own research to complete the tasks given to you, so that you may produce written assignments. A limited amount of practical training will also be given.

You will require an interview with subject specialist staff to ensure you have a good understanding of the course you are applying for.
